Snowie Rolie
This is technically a Christmas story but I think because it’s about the snowman, and it doesn’t include the normal Christmas eve or Christmas day activities, it doesn’t entirely feel like a Christmas story. The illustrations are fairly unique, in its own style, but the story very much feels like a version of Frosty. Mr. Snowie is a snowman that is in danger of melting and has to head to what essentially is the North Pole.
I can’t really fault the story or the illustrations for entertainment’s sake. However, there was what is either just an awkward way of stating a thought or a logical error in the story that did bother me, though of course it did not bother my little one. (They all head off to Chillsville, on a known path, but then they crash on their journey and are surprised that they found Chillsville and it is real.)
