Moonlight the Halloween Cat
Most Halloween books you’ll notice here fall into the skip it category. That is often because we feel it’s important for a little one for the first several years of life to feel safe, not scared. And with so many good, uplifting books available, there’s just no need to read many of the Halloween focused books to a little one.
But this one, this is a totally fine book to read. It’s basically a night in the life of a cat. There’s jack o lanterns and bats and a few other classic items related to Halloween, but the story is not intended to scare a little one. It’s a book with decent illustrations and a simple story about a wandering cat, with no intention other to entertain.
Cautions: The only caution I have is the bats and pumpkins could be a little scary, but honestly, I don’t think any little ones will be scared at this book.
