Dragons Love Tacos
I believe this book was a New York Times best seller, but we weren’t huge fans. But to be fair, we’re also not big fans of dragons. However, on the positive, the taco making part of the story was discussed at length - especially the ingredients and the cheese. Cheese is a huge favorite in this house, and from what I’ve heard, a fairly universal love of little ones. But all the weird looking dragons (the illustrations are fine, just not a style that we love), the belching fire and the destroying of the house, we didn’t really enjoy those parts of the story. The belching of fire and the burning down of the house actually just made my little one scared our house was going to burn down.
Cautions: The dragons burn down the house in the end of the story and this could potentially scare a little one depending on how old he or she is and where he or she is in normal development with emotions, imagination and ability to infer things into his or her own life.
